🏑😍😎2019 is well underway, which means it’s time for hockey season again!!

So you may ask, why choose hockey?

Well, we say why not!?

Hockey is a competitive (but more importantly) fun, social sport for everyone! It’s a great way to improve your fitness, make new friends and become part of our growing community.

Discipline, being part of a team, social skills and motor skills are all practised and developed with physical activity. Team sports like hockey encourage cooperation and respect for others. What a great foundation!

And the even better part (especially for the parents), it’s the same time and place each week! Games are played at Loder Park, Atherton, with regular, set times for all grades. The even better part is once you pay your fees, there are no ongoing costs each week. So if you’re 5, 15 or 55, it’s the perfect sport!

Still not sure? Come down to Atherton Hockey on Saturday the 16th Feb from 10:00 am for our Come and Try Day! We’ll give you a stick to use, all you need to do is bring yourself and some energy! Then, grab a frozen cup or a beer, and stick around for some great hockey with our friends from Stingers in Cairns in the annual City vs Country competition.
Every one is invited to take part.

Open Ladies and Men 12.30
Vets ladies and Men 1.30.

Will be played across the field.
Umpires required also. 🏑😎😍
