The Atherton Tableland Hockey Association would like to extend a warm welcome back to our players and families, and a huge welcome to our new parents and players in the 2021 summer season. We are excited to have you as part of our growing hockey family!
Upcoming is our ‘Summer Sixes’ season. This competition is perfect for both old and new players, and offers a fun and social game of hockey (with less meters to run, as it is played on a half field! What’s not to love?).
DATES TO MARK IN YOUR CALANDER:
Summer sixes is a 9-week season commencing on Tuesday the 12th October, and running through to Tuesday the 7th December (which will be our ‘finals’ week).
FORMAT:
We will have both a mixed ‘juniors’ competition, and a mixed ‘seniors’ competition. Mixed ‘Juniors’ will be girls and boys under the age of 14. Mixed ‘Seniors’ will be men and women above the age of 14.
GAME TIMES:
4:30pm – Mixed Juniors to play.
5:30pm – Mixed Seniors to play.
REGISTRATION:
All registrations and payments are done online. When paying for registration, you are paying your Hockey QLD/Hockey Australia fees (these are mandatory as they cover your insurance and affiliation fees), as well as grounds and maintenance expenses and running costs for ATHA.
**** NOTE – To avoid confusion, if you are 9-14 years old, register as a ‘junior’ player through the portal. However, if you are 14-18 years of age, but playing in the senior competition, the portal will only allow you to register as a ‘junior’ player, but you will be placed in the senior competition to allow for an even competition.****
